About Lou
Hi! My name is Lou Mindar. I am a business owner, writer, race car driver, and lifestyle designer. The purpose of this blog is to document what’s going on in my life and share some thoughts and ideas.
I think it’s important to point out my life philosophy right up front. I have a slightly different view of life than a lot of people. For some reason, I’ve always wanted to be different; to follow a different path in life. When I was younger, I knew I looked at life a little differently, but I didn’t think much about it.
As I got older, I became more and more interested in examining my view on life. I knew I looked at life differently than a lot of people, but I didn’t understand why. I want to better understand why I view life the way I do. I also wanted to see where I could go if I actually followed my “skewed” instincts.
It has taken a lot of time to really figure out what I want my life to look like. In fact, it’s still a work in progress. But what I have figured out is that I want to spend my time writing. It’s one of the very few talents I have, so I want to indulge it. I also want to own my own businesses that provide financially for my family and myself. Finally, I want to accomplish the goals I’ve set for myself (my Goddard List), which includes racing sports cars and eventually racing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
This process I went through (and am still going through) is called lifestyle design. It’s a somewhat trendy term to describe the act of figuring out what you want out of life, putting together a plan to get there, and then taking the action necessary to accomplish your goals. It’s pretty simple, but the sad fact is that very few people go through the process.
I’m passionate about lifestyle design and I hope that the information I provide here is helpful to you and helps you to design the lifestyle you want for your life.
